CPBC Basketball Banquet - March 4
(note this new date, rescheduled due to weather!!)
6:00-7:30 PM

basketball

Well, it’s time to celebrate another great year of basketball at College Park! So all team members, coaches, and parents are invited to attend our annual Basketball Banquet. It will be held at church in the fellowship hall on Thursday, March 4. We will enjoy a hot dog/hamburger dinner, a trophy ceremony, and reliving some of the fun stories from the season.

Make sure you make plans to attend this great event. There is no charge, but a love offering will be taken to help defray some of the cost for the banquet. We look forward to celebrating what God has done this year through CPBC basketball!

Week 1

Jesus feed 5000 with two fish and five loaves of bread.  There were even leftovers!
Week 3
Mark 6:45-51
Jesus is so amazing.  He even walked out onto the water and met his friends who were on a boat.
Week 4
Matthew 8:23-27
Jesus was asleep on a boat during a huge storm.  His friends were very afraid.  They woke Jesus to help them, and He stopped the storm.  Jesus can do anything!

The 5 Love Languages of Children
Parent Small Group - Discussion and Support
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30
February 10 through April 28
Holy Grounds Coffee House, College Park

On February 10 (new date because of weather), the church will offer a group study of the highly successful book, The Five Love Languages of Children, by Dr. Gary Chapman. Here is a little of what to expect…

Primary love languages begin to take shape at an arly age in children—but the need to feel loved begins and grows right away. With Dr. Ross Campbell's expertise in child development, Dr. Gary Chapman applies his love languages concept to children. Learn to strengthen the bond you and your children share by speaking their language. (from www.5lovelanguages.com)

This study is designed with you and your busy schedule in mind. The reading of the book is encouraged but is not necessary. The study will last until April 28th which allows the reading of a chapter each week. Also, sign-ups are encouraged but not necessary. Parents should feel free to come as they are and invite friends!

If you plan on reading the book with the group, feel free to pick up a copy of the book ($10) in the church office or find it at a variety of online and retail stores. Also, please do two things: (1) send an email to get on the list (jeffa@collegeparkbaptist.org), and (2) be sure to read the first chapter before February 10. Please call or email with any questions. Feel free to invite anyone you know!! Here is the Wednesday night schedule just in case you were wondering what else was offered...
